Philadelphia Chinese Opera Society and Chinese Students & Scholars Association at PENN jointly present a Philadelphia premiere, a cultural feast of three classic Beijing Operas about love, betrayal, justice, & honor, all in bodied in this selection,full of drama and heart wrenching emotions, featuring world renowned awards winning artists from China.

The Wild Boar Forest starring LiYangming;

The Jade Bracelet by Qin Xueling;

The Case of Chen Shimei by the famous painted face tenor Kang Wansheng;

Directed by Artistic Director Li Shuyuan;

Full orchestra of traditional Chinese Opera instruments directed by Music Director Liu Zhenguo;

English & Chinese super-titles to aid your appreciation and enjoyment.
